[MHN Jeeyoung Shin reporter] IU has donated 500 million won to cherish her last 20s birthday.
The money was delivered to five groups, including the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Yeoldol, which supports children with rare diseases, Korean Unwed Mothers Families Association, Center for Total Care to Elderly Living Alone, The Purme Foundation, and The Children’s Welfare Association.
IU decided to do something good for her last birthday in her 20s because she had received so much love throughout her 20s that she wanted to return some love.
Her label said the donations will be used to help out the medical fees to children who are suffering from rare diseases and provide financial aid to single-parent families, single elderly households, and teenagers graduating from institutional care.
IU is the top female soloist who has actively participated in charities since she debuted in 2008.
